It is a relatively straightforward process of clicking through your web site or system and recording what you \u001ffind.<\/p>\n<h3>Who uses it?<\/h3>\n<p>Information Architects use it to perform a content analysis and decide whether or not the content on a system is organized correctly according to business and user requirements. A Content Inventory allows the IA to become deeply familiar with the system, gaining invaluable knowledge which aids in redesign efforts.<\/p>\n<h3>How It Works<\/h3>\n<p>Start at the home\/main page and identify the major sections of your site or system. Explore each section and see what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s linked from it. For each page visited, record the information specifi\u001fed in the columns of an Excel spreadsheet tool.
